Amapagee originated out of a design idea to bring longevity, sophistication and color back into our wardrobes with minimum waste to the environment.  It was a personal epiphany for the founder, who is naturally obsessed with the color black all the time. She realized that wearing bold or passionate colors ignited a firestorm of confidence, vigor, and boldness that she had not experienced.  She wanted everyone to feel what she felt but did want to lose her love for the favored color, black.  She also had frustration with clothing that only lasted one month after she would spend lots of money purchasing them.  She desired a lasting, versatile day-to-night look that required subtle pieces to change their essence and could be incorporated with her existing wardrobe seamlessly.  She also has a passion for reducing waste from returns and having unsold stock after seeing a documentary on the fashion industry’s waste impact on the environment.

After three years of finding a solution, Amagagee was finally brought to life.  We believe color equals confidence, beauty, and endurance. It’s like an honor of unapologetic courage. We are unapologetically focused on seamlessly incorporating color into your everyday wardrobe, no matter how intimidating it may seem.  Clothing should last more than one season, be made well, and have a minimal environmental impact. 

We are not for fast fashion but for lasting fashion for years, and fashion can be worn throughout multiple seasons.  We know that fashion waste is a real issue in the industry, so our made-to-order concept helps us do our part in reducing fashion waste, and we are proud to say that our clothing is made in the USA, which helps us reduce our carbon footprint. 

Our primary eco-friendly fabrics are cashmere, organic cotton, merino wool, and ecoviscose.
